New Glass frog found at Yachana!
2 experts of the Centrolene genus of Glass Frog, Juan Manuel Guyasamin
(Kansas University) and Diego Cisneros Heredia (Associate Researcher,
Ecuadorian Museum of Natural History) confirmed that the specimens
found in July in the Yachana Reserve were the first records of this
species. This species is the second of the genus Centrolene found in
the Ecuadorian Amazon, and is characterised by its entirely green
dorsal colouring, white band on the upper lip and the silver iris.
