Join Rainforest Concern and, in doing so, sponsor acres of threatened rainforest for the Choco-Andean Rainforest Corridor in northwest Ecuador, South America.
In supporting the Corridor Project you will be helping to protect one of the world's most important ecological areas - so important that it has been classified as a world biodiversity "hotspot". Biological Corridors are essential to allow migration of animal and plant species from one area to another and to ensure healthy population levels. This corridor will ultimately create the vital link between the cloud forest of the Andes and the lowland forests of the Choco region, and in doing so it will ensure continuity of forest between three vulnerable reserves. Since 1994 we have made dramatic progress, connectng almost 30,000 acres for the northern phase of the corrdor, and are now focussing on both the southern phase and extending the corridor northwards into Colombia.
